About Us

The company began in 2022 by father and son; Rocco and Sam Meliambro.

Rocco has been a part of Ottawa’s construction industry for over 40 years, beginning his career with his father at M&M Drywall, a company operating for over 50 years.

When Rocco’s father retired, Rocco became the owner of M&M Drywall and began to expand his career within other areas of the construction industry such as general construction by providing renovating services and new-build construction services.

Rocco’s son Sam graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Architectural Science Program with a Major in Architectural Design (once Ryerson) in 2018. He has also graduated from Algonquin College with a Diploma in Construction Project Management in 2020.

With Sam’s experience and education in architectural design and project management along with managerial experience within M&M Drywall and Rocco’s extensive construction industry career, father and son opened Peridot Design Build to offer clients the whole package; a passion for architectural design and quality construction practices to make a client’s residential aspirations become stunning reality.

Silvana, the matriarch of the Meliambro family, enhances Peridot Design Build with her certified interior decorating expertise. Known for her work across Ottawa, she is a Benjamin Moore colour consultant and a nominee for the NKBA Awards 2024. Her artistic vision complements the family's construction and architectural prowess, offering clients a holistic approach to home design.
